    The un-typical rains of the last month have been great for everyone. My yard looks wonderful, and the local corn crop looks promising. I appreciate how well-reported this article is. Not filled with the usual double-speak we so often get from water managers who like to say that the rain didn't help because conditions are so terrible. The rain is always helpful, unless you live in a house built on a steep mountainside or right below a ravine.

    Hoping for similar miracles in California. Wish they could transfer all that extra water in the east to the west.
