Any player who is faster than Dres Anderson is a serious weapon.

Like Reggie Dunn, and Steve Smith (whom he is more like, physically, than Shaky Smithson) Clay can make an immediate impact on special teams. But as he learns the offense, having the ability to have both Dres and Kaelin line up at WR at the same time will open up opposing defenses, even in the very talented PAC.

In so doing, Clay may find he makes friends with RBs Bubba Poole, Devontae Booker, in addition to TEs Westlee Tonga and Siale Fakailoatonga.

If the Utes need to put a very fast offense on the field, RBs Troy McCormick (Texas 3A 200m champ) and Dre'Vian Young (Texas 5A 400m champ) on the field, as well, in addition to other WRs with speed, Delshawn McClellon and Dominique Hatfield.

With new OC Christensen originally being an OL himself, and OL coach Jim Harding drawing universal praise, and numbers of solid bigs, good progress up front could finally lead Utah out of hangover they've had since joining the PAC 12.

Are you sure you want to use the word "hangover" when describing the quality of football being played in SLC?

Great summary, 10CC. This season could be a lot of fun!

    Go Utes!

    10CC:

Excellent assessment. I agree with what you said, and will add that it would be great to see McCormick line up in the slot from time to time to get him the ball in open space. There are more offensive weapons than Utah has probably ever had at any one time. DC's demand for precision, as well as dynamic play calling, should make this offense finally competitive in the PAC.

Here is a "real" challenge; make the Dean's List three semesters in a row!

"Are you sure you want to use the word "hangover" when describing the quality of football being played in SLC?"

That could apply equally to Provo as well.

Pretty difficult to accomplish, since Kaelin will only be at The U for two semesters, maximum.
