Atheists aren't doing themselves any favors regarding their standing with
the rest of the vast majority of Americans when they do such frivolous things.
It's just one more silly example of the tail trying to wag the dog. To say that "its members suffered from both physical and emotional
damages from the presence of the beamed cross, resulting in headaches,
indigestion and mental pain" seems unbelievable and actually quite ludicrous
to most common-sense people. After all, the cross is a universally
recognized symbol of peace, love and hope for mankind. And in this particular
instance, the finding of this cross at Ground Zero brought all three needed
things to survivors and rescuers when it was needed the most.
oh my goodness - WHAT!!! A Christian cross in a Christian nation? What is this
country coming to? The sad thing is that it took a court order to allow the
cross to stay. America is falling faster than boat anchor.
@CopaceticAs an atheist who views religion as one of the great evils
in society I actually agree with much of your post. The old saying of having to
pick your battles comes to mind and this just isn't a battle I would have
chosen to fight.
Well, I am LDS, and crosses are not much on my worship list, but I think it is
beautiful. Gives me chills to see it.Why not just look at it for
what it is...a sign of hope, of peace, of healing, a miracle.(Headaches,
indigestion and mental pain? Oh brother!)Copacetic, your post made a lot
Don't like it libs?Tough, deal with it.
