    Looks to much better situation than last year's spotty OL play. An improved, more experienced line, a healthy QB with a qualified backup, potentially very good running backs and IF the WR's can hold on to the ball this could be the year we get over the hump. Can't wait!

    I disagree about the line having "little to no problem" with Fresno State. Sure, Fresno is no Stanford or Oregon, but they definitely don't belong in the same sentence with Idaho State like that. I think Utah can beat, them, though. Last year it was all about Derek Carr, and while the defense had a pretty decent pass-rush, they still weren't spectacular and will have to pick up a lot more slack. Carr and the offense scored a lot of points last year and gave the defense a lot of beeathing room last year, but it probably won't be the same this year.

    trueblue,

    Last year the Pac 12 went 14-1 against the WAC(including byu).

    The Utah Fresno game is Pac 12 against WAC, and we know how those games go now don't we?

    31-27 bulldogs . No linebackers equals no defense .

    Geez, don't get so defensive, Big 12. Notice that I said I thought Utah could beat them? But then again, there isn't as much disparity between the P5 and the G5 as one might think. A PAC-12 bottom feeder against the reigning MWC champ should be a fun matchup to see. Notice that I said MWC, not WAC. News flash: WAC football disbanded after the 2012 season. Get your facts straight

    The PAC-12 did not go 14-1 against the WAC last year. They went 0-0 against the WAC

    TrueBlue=AggieBlue:

    I too hope the Football teams doesn't take the field vs. Fresno St. with the assumption that we'd walk all over them. Not respecting one's opponent is a great way to lose, and considering the schedule we're going to be facing, this game will be a "must win". FSU deserves our fullest respect and attention.

    Go Utes!

    @Big12
    "Last year the Pac 12 went 14-1 against the WAC"

    -----------------

    You forgot to include the 7-2 record the Pac12 had against the lone WAC team in their conference. Lol! You can take the team out of the WAC but you just can't take the WAC out of the team. Don't overlook anyone on your schedule, with wins coming so far and few between now-a-days for the utes you don't have the luxury of overlooking any opponent. Beggars can't be choosers as the saying goes. Fresno St spent much of last year ranked in the top 25. That's more than you can say for many years. You're coming up on an entire recruiting class that's never had a winning season or gone to a bowl game. That's called setting a culture for the program and establishing a legacy.

    Boy, this SOS is killing us. I see maybe 4 wins and sitting on the couch during bowl season...AGAIN. Can't we just go back and start up the WAC again. Oh, we didn't win there either.

    This group will likely be the key to keeping our QB healthy as well opening up holes for the RB's. This group will be key to any success the Utes have in Pac 12 play. I hope the analysts are correct in predicting marked improvement from these guys. Go Utes!!
