After spending decades telling us that solar power is too expensive and will
never be feasible, dirty energy companies suddenly discover that solar power is
now cost competitive with their energy sources. This has them scared, so they
run to our politicians in an attempt to quash any competition to their power
monopoly. Free enterprise at its best.
It's obvious that RMP has an agenda set against green energy. Why doesn't our legislature look into this? Has dirty energy bought off
this AG too?Forgive me if I don't exactly trust in our AG. They
haven't done anything to restore credibility IMO. And to see such blatant
manipulating of the market to punish solar panel users... It's very
concerning to say the least
My son in Phoenix has solar panels on his house, as do all his neighbors. His
energy bill is zero. The great Solana thermo-solar plant near Phoenix will soon
power half the city. Meanwhile, here in pokey li'l Utah, we choke on
our own smoke.
This discussion is indicative where American ingenuity has gone. We were once
the leader but now we are the straggler that has to be pulled to the obvious
path. We are now forced to follow Germany for their leadership in an environment
much less favorable to solar and China cwhose situation has shown us that a
communist country can be better capitalists than the pioneer.
Yes at the same time that Rocky Mountain power is busting the Union at Deer
Creek Mine it is also trying to keep solar at Bay. Maybe we should have kept
Scottish Power who were not so anti Utah. Thank you Mr. Warren Buffet
for showing us your true color, green and green alone.
