    Grand and Wayne counties currently charge for rescues. How many more counties will have to do likewise as PILT moneys dry up. More of the smaller counties with limited population bases and private land to tax will undoubtedly be forced to do so in the future.
    Will that mean that if you need rescued on Public Land that pays no taxes that you will need a credit card number to get rescued. Probably not, but hopefully you will get a bill later.
    Or better yet please call the BLM or USFS for your future rescue needs.
