People all over the world know it. The ritual impositions of religion on daily
life are kind of arcane, if not down right silly. So, whether they do blatantly,
or on the sly, people figure out they don't need god's permission to
watch a world cup game. Besides, god mostly pays attention to american football
This is a classic example of the major problem Islam does not deal with. They
have no central authority, which means any Man can decides what the rules are of
the religion. This is why there is so much hate between the Sunni and Shiite.
@Laura AnnLike Christianity has a central authority?
@Laura AnnYou seem to be interpreting Islam like it's the equivalent
of Lutherans, but really it's more the equivalent of Christianity where
there's lots of sects/denominations. There's no Christian central
authority either (okay, one can say Christ, but that'd be like saying Allah
for Islam), but the individual Islamic sects have their own clerics and leaders
while Christian denominations have the Catholic Pope, LDS Prophet, etc.
