So long as they protect us from the state of Utah.

Note: 5 of the justices were appointed by Republican Presidents.

Those who accuse the Court of judicial activism are indeed full of hypocrisy. The Court has "found" that corporations have free speech. What's next, they get to vote? That is what I call judicial activism.

But they are "Activist Judges" only when they make a decision conservatives don't like.

Hmmm, based on Herb Scribner's pretty loaded descriptions of the various judges, with a decidedly liberal slant, my strong suspicion is he sides with the liberal faction of the court. Specifically, note the lop-sided use of the label, "conservative" versus no use of its opposite, "liberal", despite the obvious implications of such a divide.

With a BuzzFeed headline, descriptions that feel like they were intended for a children's book, and almost no fact contained in the "facts", this article is an embarrassment to this paper. Did DN get hacked? I feel insulted that the editors think theirreaders needithis kind of didacticism. I didn't see a liberal slant, but patronization.

On the court there are two far-left justices (Ginsberg and Breyer) two center-left justices (Sotomayor and Kagan), one center-right justice (Kennedy) and four far-right justices (Roberts Scalia, Thomas and Alito). That's how the justices should have been described. "Liberal" or "Conservative" should not have been used.
