This kid along with his former teammates are the future of BYU Basketball. The
future is looking bright for Roses' boys!
Jimmer didn't even have those kind of numbers in High School, certainly not
as a HS Junior. Frank is going to be an amazing talent, glad to have him coming
to the Y. Go Cougs!
Sounds great , I hope he is truly committed and once he starts getting more
attention he doesn't change his mind and decommit. Don't think he will
This is definitely not good news for any rivals of the Cougars.
Learn to play defense.
Wow! BYU has the makings of GREAT basketball in the future with all these
skilled players from Lone Peak. This is incredible playing for a junior in high
Why can't we ever see these games as they play them? Surely there would be
enough viewers that would make it worth while. After all it is an American
tournament, at least with American players.
71-39,You mean like Lola Mary community, Portland nursing school,
and Pepperdine, all schools who beat byU last year?those rivals?
The question is why was he seen at a few Runnin' Ute games last year
following his "commitment" to BYU?
this kid won't have to go to BYU, he will have big time options.. Jabari
didn't come to the Y, if this kid keeps progressing he will be playing for
a blue blood program, you won't see him running around the WCC
@Big 12 errr Pac BottomfeederNow tell us all which WCC team knocked
your Utes out of the NIT?
We have a good rivalry with Grand Canyon University Lopes and we will win them
again this year. I bet Frank will decommitt and play for us because of our good
rivalry with Evergreen State and when we win them in the future again.Go Utes!
50 points against a middle eastern team.....that is an accomplishment! Yes,
Well whether or not Frank keeps his committment to BYU there is one thing that
is already settled, he won't be going to utah. He already made his choice
of the instate schools known and utah was lacking and came up far short. lol
If Frank keeps blowing it up and ends up landing offers from either Oregon,
Arizona or UCLA - especially UCLA from what I've heard - expect Frank to
say adieu to the Cougars. Sources close to Frank say he almost instantly
regretted his early commitment to BYU and would have decommitted if it
wasn't for his Dad's sway and not wanting to embarrass Coach Rose and
his staff. That's not to say Frank doesn't like BYU, it's just
saying he was VERY young at the time of the offer/commitment and he almost
immediately realized that he should be keeping his options open.
@steaknwingsHe wasn't, that is just utah "fan" alcohol
fueled delusion. He is as solid a BYU commit as there is and the fact that utah
"fans" like yourself and all of christina's screen names are
getting so "frantic and emotional" about it is highly amusing for the
rest of us. Face the facts, he wanted nothing to do with utah and told them so.
I can't blame him either, why would anyone want to be associated with
yourself, christina, u-pac, naval, wookie, howie, ekute, tomahawk or the others
like you? He is a quality kid and wants to attend a place aligned with other
quality individuals not a place with the likes of those listed above.Do you guys realize how much you turn off kids with morals and standards?
Duckhunter,You quickly lose credibility with comments like your last
one. Steaknwings is absolutely correct. I saw Frank with my own eyes at two
different Utah home games last season - and yes, he was sitting in the Utah
invited guest section if that tells you anything. Please stop blowing
people up for stating facts. And the funny thing is, steaknwings seemed to just
be asking an honest question ... Knowing that the basis for his/her question is
factual, I actually thought he was a BYU fan.
@motortrikeYour wishful thinking doesn't change reality. Frank
is a BYU commit, a solid BYU commit, no matter how much that hurts yo
BYU has had 2 consecutive top 25 recruiting classes. All yet to attend. With or
without Frank BYU will be a power soon. There is no reason to believe he
won't honor his commitment. All his buddies will be at BYU. Utah fans are
panicking and grasping. I don't blame them. This team will be a future
power. Whether they play St Mary's of the poor or Duke, This team will
@ BallparkYou obviously didn't read the rest of the article.
Other teams in tournament include Monteverde, Huntington Prep, and Simeon.
Three of the elite programs in the country. 3 and 1 record so far. Play the
best - Be the best. Why the jealousy of high school boys? Keep going guys.
@Duckhunter"He wasn't (seen at a few Runnin' Ute
games) that is just utah "fan" alcohol fueled delusion. He is as solid a
BYU commit as there is..."And you're saying Utah fans are
delusional and wishful thinking, you're hilarious.
Duckhunter"Your wishful thinking doesn't change reality.
Frank is a BYU commit, a solid BYU commit, no matter how much that hurts
you"Commit? Yes. Solid? No. Hurt me? Not in the slightest.
I'd be very happy for both Frank and the BYU program if he keeps his
commitment and plays for the Cougars. Would I love to see him play for the Utes?
Sure I would, but I doubt he will. But just realize I don't care what a kid
decides to do, he needs to do what's best for him. As for what people close
to him have told me, he'll likely be easily swayed away from BYU if a few
big-name programs come calling. He LOVES UCLA.Despite the drama you
try so hard to create, the above info is all I'm here to say.
@motortrikeUh....who is it here "creating drama"?
You're the one on here trying to claim a BYU commit isn't going to
keep his committment not me.As for Frank and his committment do you
really think that the people that live around, go to school with, hang out with,
and otherwise associate with this family don't "know" anything
about the situation?Yes I'm sure some bitter utah "fan"
that tries to claim connections is the one that really "knows" the
