Just how many accounts does Chris B. have? Each time I read a BYU article I have to thumb through five or more monkiers for the same guy. Seriously, DNews please have some way of people verifying their accounts such as attaching it to Facebook.

This is another strong get for BYU. One can never have too many good/fast players on the team. Welcome to cougar country Mr. Lui!

At this point it doesn't matter... The pac12 schools are no longer a consideration for Lui...

A CA 3 star is a good get... And I suspect that that 3 star will become a 4 star by the end of the season... I also suspect that our envious little brothers will once again have egg all over their face when the pac12 tries to wrestle him away from BYU this year... The egg doesn't stop them though, they will be back for more as they see the guys (one by one)that they wished they would have offered earlier, head south on I15 for 30 mintutes to live and play out their college football careers.

Welcome to the school of champions Mr. Lui, we look forward to having you.

Yes, and the Pac-12 was never a consideration for byu.

"A CA 3 star is a good get... And I suspect that that 3 star will become a 4 star by the end of the season... "

Yes, and the two star prospects will be five star prospects because it's byu and magic happens.

    What? Like Davion Orphey? LOL!

    You're too much, poyman.

I would have hated to be this young man. Very tough decision...

    Weber State

    He probably did eenie-menni-minni-mo

Poor jealous little brothers so obsessed with all things BYU.

We all know that Whit waits for BYU to do all of the heavy lifting in evaluating recruits, then tries to cherry pick BYU's recruits as soon as the Cougars extend an offer.

The pattern is so predictable it's laughable.

As soon as a recruit commits to BYU, he's immediately labeled a total bust by the hill crowd.

If the same recruit were to change his mind and commit to Utah next week, the same hill crowd would immediately proclaim him the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Way to be kind to a kid that just committed to play Division 1 ball. Welcome to the Cougs! Ignore the U trolls (you'll learn about them quick if you already didn't know how they operate).

Nice 3 star recruit. Adding it to an already good looking recruiting class is a good get indeed. Welcome Lui, glad to have you.

"Way to be kind to a kid that just committed to play Division 1 ball."

You must be fairly new to this board. The Ute trolls (Chris B/U-PAC/M Romney, et. al.) aren't into kindness.

BTW, trolls, this kid is a 3 star....what was the average star rating of your recruits? Was it 3.1 or 2.9. No matter what it was I think Lui would have been a "good get" for ya'll.

It always amazes me when "fans" of another school come on these articles to degrade a kid that just committed to play Division 1 football and get a great education!
Whats wrong with you people? Can't you just be happy for him? It is disappointing to me what low character some people have.

Who cares how many offers he has and who they are from? It is no guarantee of quality or success.

If he works hard and stays humble and hungry he can be as great as he chooses to be.

    The end result:

Utes can't qualify for a bowl game!

    All else is envy!

    The end result:

4 in a row and 9 of the last 12.

    And we're in a P5 Conference.

    All else is envy.

Considering the comments by Ute/anti-BYU fans (fanatics), I would choose BYU again, even if their team were as bad as they were when I went to school in Cougarland.

    The end result:

BYU - nine straight bowls (equal to the longest bowl streak in Utah history)
Utah - two straight bowl less seasons

BYU - four AP Top 25 finishes during the Bronco/Kyle era
Utah - two AP Top 25 finishes during the Bronco/Kyle era

BYU - three 11+ win, Top 15 finishes since 2006
Utah - one 11+ win, Top 15 finishes since 2006

All else is simply Utah fans spinning to help themselves sleep at night.

Weber State and Hawaii couldn't guarantee first string playing time... I'm sure it was a hard decision but sometimes playing time wins out.

Chin up Weber State, you'll find that practice squad player soon enough

THis is a good kid with a good potential upside. Don't know how he'll work out but a tremendous young man. THe kind of kid that BYU likes and will continue to go after.

Yes, you are in a P5 Conference. Where has it gotten you?
    2011 4-5
    2012 3-6
    2013 2-7
The trend is not good for you. Your envy should be with those that are in the "Conference of Champions" that actually win. Go prove yourselves by winning and I'll give you credit for it. Until then, keep be enamored by anything BYU. Go Cougars!

  • Ken Sandy, UT

    @Scores,

Our P5 conference has gotten us away from you and all other mid-majors that don't deserve to be around us. Did you hear we're forming a new division? You're not invited.

    Ken,

I don't remember saying anything about wanting to be invited to your party. I agree, we don't deserve to be around u, because we got rid of u a long time ago. Go ahead and cheer all you want about your P5 conference. Like I say, I'll give you credit when credit is due, until then, you can keep on being enamored by anything BYU. Go Cougars!

"...we got rid of u a long time ago."

What a frantic and emotional thing to say. History records that it was Utah who left the cougars; not the other way around. Utah left the MWC for the Pac-12, and in doing so left behind all our former conference brethren...including the Y.

In the scheduling deals, it was Utah who'd opted to play another team instead of the Y; not the other way around. It was the cougars who'd held out hope that our last OOC game to be scheduled for the 2014 season would be with them, and when we ultimately declined, you all went looking elsewhere. So again, it was US who left YOU. Putting it any other way just leaves you looking sour, desperate, disingenuous, and emotional.

Welcome to college football. Go look at the Big Ten SEC and Big XII and show me a team that doesn't do that.

Smart, if you ask me. Stupid, if a coach throws his hands up and says "gosh, I guess we lost that one" when a prospect is still fair game.
