Ralph Becker's approach is good. He's right in that we have to change
the little things to make our air better. More cities should do the same.
Without getting into the merits of whether gay Mormons should be able to have a
float in the parade, how about the issue of the City Council trying to influence
the decision. It what way are the best interests of the city served by having a
particular float in a parade organized and run by a private entity ?
Why didn't Becker deem it important enough to cancel fireworks during the
New years celebrations at a time of winter inversions.
