With all due respect, look at what any religion brings to the table, especially
as far as proof. This one, now how matter how silly on the surface, is no better
than, and no worse than, any other.
I remember back in the 70's the formation of The Church Of Monday Night
Football. It doesn't take a genius to figure out when their meetings were.
This isn't any screwier than that was.
For members of the LDS faith how does the admiration of Beyonce differ from the
actions and attitudes that many members have towards Joseph Smith? Pick a
leader and run with it. It's what religion is, does and will always
continue to do.
Our 11th article of faith allows people to worship as they see fit. It is not up
to us to decide whether or not it is a joke no more than we like for others to
call our beliefs a joke. 11.We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God
according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same
privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
We've worked hard to make sure sure religion doesn't see it's
entitlements further eroded. So the followers of this religion are entitled to
physical representation in the halls of the state house, court house and public
square. And absolutely we just celebrated their right to be included in the
prayers before a city council meeting. Failure to deliver any of these
entitlements would be nothing short of an affront to religious freedom in
Church? Call it what it really is, Best Tax Shelter Ever.As word of
the success of this church, or rather tax shelter, spreads to other rich
celebrities with cult-like followings we should see more being built. This church being no better or worse than others depends on wether it is
leading followers into the light or darkness.
This reminds me of a rueful comment John Lennon made that the Beatles were more
popular than Christ. He was highly condemned, but he didn't deserve the
rebuke. He didn't say that they were better than the Savior, only more
widely recognized globally. Among the non-Christian population of the world, he
was possibly correct.I would imagine that weddings at the Church of
Bey would be something special; she really knows how to put a ring on it.
Proverbs 4:28 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
Sorry? But, this reminds me of the Family Guy episode where Peter starts the
Church of the Fonz (i.e. Happy Days).
