"My goal was to make a movie where moms can identify with everything on the
screen...", says the co-director of the movie. Kind of a shame that a
christian-motivated movie helps perpetuate and thinks so many moms can identify
with the husband-as-buffoon media trope. Watch the trailer: Moms try to make
themselves look hot & sexy for a night on the town away from husbands. Dopey
husbands watch the kids--and fail. Moms get attention and help from a bad-boy
biker gang. Husbands then praise and adore their wives, promise to do better.
End of movie. No thank you.
MOMS' NIGHT OUT is an endearing true-to-life family comedy that celebrates
the beautiful mess called parenting. Starring Sarah Drew, Sean Astin, Patricia
Heaton, and Trace Adkins, it opens in theaters May 9.
