Maple, Spanish, and Salem....one of those three will win it!

Region 8 is well balanced and had some great competition but not sure the league is as good as last year. Skyline has the best pitcher in 4A so if their No. 2 can win one of these first round games, the Eagles will be in good position. It will be interesting to see if Bountiful is for real and if Murray can reach back to past tradition. But neither Maple Mountain nor Salem Hills is nearly as good as last year. Spanish Fork has good depth but doesn't hit the ball especially well.

Bountiful has solid, deep pitching and a strong defense. Region 6 is weak, particularly in pitching. It will be interesting to see how Bountiful does against good pitching. I've seen Skyline, Murray, Maple and Salem play but haven't seen Spanish Fork. Looking at the bracket, I see Bountiful playing Skyline in the third round with the winner of that game likely going all the way. Don't count out Timp, they always seem to come out of nowhere at tournament time. Should be fun!
