"Donors' anonymity thwarts liberals' efforts to injure the
livelihoods of identifiable conservatives by punishing them for their political
participation and thereby deterring others from participating."------------------Should anyone doubt the use of this type of
"dark power" or its effectiveness, simply consider the recent case of
Brendan Eich, late CEO and cofounder of Mozilla whose resignation from his newly
appointed post was caused by the pressure from PC brown shirts who objected to
his perfectly legal contribution to Prop. 8 in California, 6 years ago.The freedom to think and speak as one wishes is part of the foundation of our
constitution. It is primary to virtually all other freedoms. It can only be
preserved by actively **fighting** against the oppressive forces like those
mentioned in this article and many others, particularly from those advocating
the so-called "progressive" agenda.I will forever fight for
the right to think and speak freely. I hope more will join that fight.
The purpose of the press is to ferret out all forms of government abuse, all
forms of tyranny, all types of Unamerican activities by any part of government.
Government is here to serve us and to protect us from "hoodlums" who
would use self-appointed power to enforce their political viewpoint on
others.Mr. Will used his clout as a journalist to do his duty to
preserve our liberties. Why haven't other journalists reported
the abuse of power in Wisconsin? How about here in Utah? How much
press coverage has been given to the abuse of power by the police force in West
Valley City, whose arrests for drug activity were thrown out of court because of
irregularities, or even to the abuse of power from the city and from the bench
in South Jordan over the right of a property owner to house pigeons? No
government official is exempt from oversight. The press is charged with that
duty. Sure, everyone likes "feelgood" articles, but
corruption in government will destroy our society if left unchecked.
Government by intimidation?Must we always bring up Bush and
Cheney?Cmon Will, it's 2014. Stop living in the past man!
