I have nothing against the Museum of the American Revolution and I hope I am mistaken about this but is this 1.5 million dollars coming from church tithing? It appears that way when it says "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints presented a 1.5 million gift….."

@spiritbeing - How does "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints presented a 1.5 million gift….." suggest it was tithing money?

@sports-- usually churches raise money through tithing. Since this article doesn't say, that's why the question was asked. Would a member paying tithing in south america want their sacred funds going to an "America" museum? However, tithing or not, should church funds go to supporting museums when there are so many people in the world who are desperate for food and medicine? I think those are fair questions to ask.
