I imagine Collie will have to head to Canada, or the arena league if he wants to
continue a football career. Much like Jimmer, its appearing clear that teams
just don't want them.
With the Porter situation you have to wonder what BYUs deal is. I mean he was
ready to commit if BYU offered a scholarship? Most programs will commit him
anyway knowing that you probably won't have all the LBs on scholarship that
you have currently (injuries, not playing up to expectation, transferring, etc
are all reasons for a scholarship to open up). Especially if he's going on
a mission first and not playing until 2017. Makes me wonder if there aren't
other issues keeping BYU from offering.
@utes 2-11 over 7It's always helpful to study up before
posting...Collie already has a very strong resume that includes a
Super Bowl appearance and a couple of Conference Championship appearances...
Folks are just a little leery of his previous concussions and he showed the
league some resilience last year...and will continue to build on that in the
league this year... BTW, you will want to follow the NFL draft next
month and once again witness A Coug selected well before a ute. After
finally getting some Bulls minutes, Jimmer showed what he could do for them...
His 3 point shot wasn't on, but he still was extremely effective with 17
points on 7 for 14 and an efficiency of +18 (best on the team)... He should get
one more good run before the playoffs and then he will be relegated to emergency
status once again through the Playoffs...But, don't you worry, you will be
able to see plenty of him again next year...BTW, I have a trivia
question for you... Name the utes that have been selected in the NBA Draft since
Bogot??? If your answer is a blank, you got it right.
2013 ute seniors,Canada? Did you forget 4th and 18. Collie has
clearly demonstrated NFL talent but it is his injury record that concerns teams.
They may not want to invest time and money in developing someone with talent who
has a higher risk of a season ending injury.
Good luck Collie! I wish you well.
