Kyle will do great. He's mentally tough and will work hard to get back!
He's optimistic. Great player. You are in our thoughts!
Another positive for KC is his brother went through similar trials, but worse.
I think he has outstanding family support and experience. I will be surprised
if we don't see him playing next year.
With Carlino moving on to hopefully greener pastures (for him) BYU has to
develop another point guard anyway. If KC is not ready to go by the first game
this will just give the developing point guard more experience running the
offense.Having a backup point guard come in with more experience is
not a bad thing.
Hopefully, KC will be OK next fall, but his brother essentially never recovered
from injuries. I'm hoping some of the kids coming in can develop into a
real PG. If KC recovers so much the better. Here are my guesses: Winder and
Bartley. Hopefully they can step up. Actually I think Winder is a
better 2 guard, and Bartley was a work in progress this season, but he has the
tools to be a starter. But still, I think of him as a 2 along with Anson. So
will a complete #1 step up?
I still chuckle about the criticism of Collinsworth early in the season,
especially on the ESPN game discussion boards. I'm hoping that while he
rehabs his knees he gets a lot of time in at the foul line, but with that one
weakness, he is still an amazingly complete player.
