Title: ‘Utah ranks 3rd in US for most self-employed women’ Good. Excellent! And yet majority in Utah does not want women to
Utah has the highest birth rate, youngest average age, second youngest average
marriage age, highest average household size and a general cultural norm that
emphasizes "No success in life can compensate for failure in the
home".It does not surprise me that many women no longer have to
choose between family life and work and choose to do both. The social medium of
the internet has afforded many a wide variety of options to interact with others
and provide a service that earns an income. It allows mothers to care for the
little ones and the freedom to choose their own hours. One of my
favorites is the Kansas woman who built a fake website as a joke advertising
genuine western tumbleweeds. When orders started coming in she was shocked. The
Japanese are her biggest customers as they love anything to do with the old
west. She pays her nephews to harvest the product, and makes $40,000 a year in
her spare time.
My guess is they are just counting all of the MLM members.
Is this good news or bad news?I thought LDS women were encouraged to
NOT work outside the home?
So much for the traditional marriage status. The legislature should pass the Mom
Stay at Home Act to stop this.
