    If there were no 'Johns" buying these services much of this type of crime would go away. The 'Johns" are just as guilty and need to be locked up with the criminals.

    I hope these people can be prosecuted in every state they did something to this young lady in. They need to be kept in jail for the rest of their lives. If they are allowed out they will do it again and make sure the woman can never escape. This was horrific for this young lady and I hope and pray she will recover from this experience. I hope New York is investigating this and where they took her from, I wonder how many others there are and are they still in forced captivity. So sad, it just breaks my heart.

    A little Bible passage for some cultural background on the views that some cultures have on this: Exodus 21:16: "And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death."
    If a john is sleeping with a trafficked prostitute, then the phrase, "if he be found in his hand, . . ." applies to the john as well.
