This is good news. I hope every person who works at the facility and every
person who is treated at the facility remembers that the republicans do not want
this facility to exist and are actively fighting to close it down.
"The enrollment deadline is approaching, with the first open enrollment
period ending March 31. All Americans must have health insurance coverage by
that day or incur a penalty fee in the coming year."This is the
biggest reason I oppose Obamacare. Forcing people to buy a product is not right.
If someone doesn't want health insurance, then they should not have to buy
health insurance. Of course there are other reasons to oppose Obamacare, and I
could go on and on about how the negatives FAR outweigh any perceived positives
(such as this clinic). But I do agree with Gov. Herbert that we believe in the
rule of law. Hopefully Obamacare will no longer be law at some point in the near
future. Because it is hurting America.
I hope every person remembers that Tax Dollars paid 100% of this facility.
Oh, hey . . . it's only public tax/debt money, right? Plenty of that to
throw around, since we're only $17,000,000,000,000++ in debt so far. No
big deal. Just let the kids, grandkids, and great grandkids ante up over their
Do any of you ACA haters know why America spends twice as much per person on
health care as other Western countries? And don't say malpractice
insurance because you'd be wrong. Just curious if anyone knows the impact
the uninsured have on tax dollars, insurance rates and bankruptcy.
If it is wrong to force someone to buy health insurance, is it fair that the
rest of us who have insurance should have to pay for the medical care of those
who do not? Just wondering.
To "FT" yes we do know why we pay so much for healthcare. The
biggest reason is government regulations and mandates. According to various
sources 20% to 50% of the cost of insurance is due directly to the government
mandates. If you got rid of most of those mandates the US would be spending
about the same per person.Next, you have the fact that the US has
the most advanced care available in the world. You can't have a Ferrari
for the same price as a Pinto. The US also has the highest tax rate
for medical device and drug companies in the world.Did you know that
so far the ACA has only been able to get 10% of the uninsured some insurance. It seems like the problem with cost has its roots in the Government. So
why trust them to fix the problem they created? To
"viejogeezer" if the goal is to get healthcare to the poor, why create a
new insurance program. Why not set up clinics around the US and hire the staff
to care for the poor?
Ever wonder why you don't hear Medicare being referred to as
"Johnsoncare"? Maybe it's because it's so popular.
Here's a handy way to interpret the commentary on the Affordable Care Act
(ok, go ahead and call it "Obamacare"). In today's environment, if
a political party or political leaning can't claim credit for something,
then it has to be labelled in a negative way and attacked at every opportunity,
regardless of its merits. With the passage of time, if the Affordable Care Act
is successful and has its intended effect, you will no longer hear it referred
to as Obamacare. By then it will have achieved the final phase of any project
or initiative, that being "praise and recognition of non-participants"
and will likely be called something like "Boehnercare" by its current
I don't get it, how did health care funds for a doctor become development
and construction funds for state owned hospitals? When did the ACA funds become
propriety of the RDA developers? This governor is out of his mind and
out of control. This is outright fraudulent use of and misappropriation of funds
to pay for doctor care and treatment. They just stole over a million dollars
from hundreds of peoples health care and built a hospital and paid a developer
and put someones life and health at risk, or maybe even denied some one a life
saving procedure. If I had the means I would plaster this all over
the world to show how much obama and the state of Utah cares about the health of
its people by misappropriating and divert these funds to create construction
jobs for illegal aliens and profit business owners. And people of
Utah want to trust this governor with billions of dollars ACA Medicaid funds to
pass on too developers and construction job creation like the new $100 million
dollar Hotel Utah in downtown SLC? Is there any doubt why Governor Herbert is
anxious to expand his medicaid fraud program?
