I haven't watched the show in years, so I'll admit I don't know
how well Hall performed. I will say that I wouldn't be surprised if her
refusal to lower her standards played a role in her dismissal. Isn't Adam
an "alternative" anyway? If she were, she would have been paraded around
as a pariah.
Well, I can see why she didn't get to sing. Frankly, she sounds like
everyone else. A lazy singer. It's a style that has become prevalent today
and is rather annoying. Grates on anyone's nerves. She needs to mature as a
person and singer before she is ready to share her talent. No originality in her
style of singing and average as a guitarist.
We were also disappointed when Kenzie Hall was not allowed to sing for
America's vote. She was one of the better singers and would have made it
through to the next round. The singers that were chosen were ok, but it was
definately a "politically correct" group that was chosen to move on.
Sounds like she has her head on straight....good job
I thought the whole thing was a dirty rotten trick and I quit watching the show
forever for it!
You are an American Idol for many young women. Thank you for your faith. Thank
you for your voice and thank you for living up to the standards of a young woman
of God. You are a winner in our eyes.
As soon as the Idol contract allows, Kenzie needs to submit tapes to The
Voice...it's a much better show anyway. Several former American Idol
contestants, including at least one who is also LDS, have done The Voice and
gotten great exposure.
Sadly, her faith did not help her win the contest.
@sg of Newhall CA...Were you up there displaying your golden voice
and incredible instrumentality talents? Didn't think so. Hmmm. To have the
courage to just audition was a great step at her age or anyone's age for
that matter. To share quote that might help in your plight of
judge-mentality:" All experts were beginners at one time." Don't
know who said it but it sure is sage wisdom. I feel Kenzie Hall will become a
star because she has the courage to step up and step out. Question sg: What have
you done to step up and step out?
Way to go, Kenzie! You have no idea how much you actually won.
I'd like to see the contract to find out if the producers of the show
breached their part of the agreement thus allowing her to do whatever she wants.
It seems like she was required to sign the contract to appear on national tv
and then she didn't.
I heard those American Idol contracts were all encompassing and thus devastating
to those who lose, but this is the first confirmation of such.
DocHolliday. You wrote: "Sadly, her faith did not help her win
the contest". Yes, her faith let her win big. She was taught "correct
principles and she governs herself well".
I'm very proud of Kenzie, and her knowledge of her Father in Heaven and of
her Savior willget her through this life, and she'll be very prepared
for the next.Your future family will be very happy you made the
It’s probably because of her unwillingness to degrade and
“sell” herself—for a guy like Adam Lambert, of all
people—that she was ultimately cut from the list. She is better off anyway
not having ended up pursuing that course. There is nothing that the
entertainment industry loves and can do more easily and quickly than corrupting
and destroying an innocent, righteous young woman. Praise to her for not
sacrificing her soul for the praise of the world.
This young woman is truly an example to other would be "stars" We no
longer watch that show, because of the type of music that is normally performed.
However, I would gladly market her CD if and when she does one. May the Lord
Bless her for her willingness to do what was right for her future life. Were
her ancestors Utah Pioneers? if so we might share the same ancestors, that would
be great for my grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
