If Obama was against the Common Core, the arch-conservatives would be for it.
Are these people even rational enough to be leading the country? They act like
Proud of my state. Proud of Gov Pence...Common Core is a
disaster...I hope no child is subjected to this garbage. Obama needs to stay in
the things he understands...like healthcare, foreigh policy, golf, smoking,
going on trips with his family and stuff. To quote PINK FLOYD....LEAVE THE KIDS
If you have seen common core math done on you tube and online elsewhere you
would be shocked that Utah is a state that is willing to do common core math. It
is outrageous and I will be speaking to a someone in the Utah legislature.
People, you need to wake up and look into this. Your kids and grand kids will be
affected by this and not in a positive way
@Kings CourtThat is just utter rubbish. and No they
wouldn't.It us about using common sense and understanding how
bad common core is. And by the way, hypothetical situations not withstanding,
Obama would never be against an extreme left plan and true conservatives would
always be against federal growth and any federal takeover of education. So to make such silly statements is well... silly.
It is absolutely insane how people misunderstand this. The Common
Core is nothing but a set of standards.Unbelievable.
the truth,Really? So you are telling me George W. Bush's
"No Child Left Behind" wasn't a federal takeover of education and
an expansion of federal government powers? Help me understand, maybe I
Hmm?What happened to cooperative learning, or hands-on?Every few years, something new is introduced, and ends up costing the
taxpayers. We're told it's for kids, and the public will
buy it.Watch!--Observe our economy, and welfare state. Our education system is weak, and foreigners are taking much of our skilled
jobs. How's the standardized tests working out. yep! Assessing
students is better than teaching them.
Okay, I'll say it. The NCLB Act was a disaster and the Common Core seems
@Fred44Bush is not a true conservative,but a
Let teachers, administrators, and parents set the standards!Putting
schools into a common collective with a central authority is not the answer.
I wonder how much federal funding Indiana will lose?
Thanks for setting an example to find the way out of this Common Core mess,
Indiana! I hope we, too, find freedom from the Common Core experimental
standards, its aligned high stakes tests, the nonlocal standards governance
system, and the data mining that the Common Core clique has lured us into
believing would bless our kids, all without a shred of evidence-based reasoning.
One must not credit/blame all of this on Obama; there is a whole Common Core
clique that includes private trade groups like the CCSSO/NGA
creators-copyrighters, the Bill Gates funding machine, the Secretary Duncan
marketing arm, and the host of Pearson-led corporate opportunists. Note to
"Orem Parent": Some still believe Common Core is "just
standards" but they might re-read Obama's education reform blueprint,
and the official redefinition of what used to be the generic phrase "college
and career readiness". It is now officially and narrowly redefined
specifically as the common core.
