Now that is Jazz basketball. Lets have more like it.
The only quarter the Jazz won was the first....Kanter's defense was
particularly onerous for the most part, but he did make one sensational
defensive play, giving us hope that maybe he can learn to play defense....Now we
need a coach who can teach him....Hope he also learns that he isn't as
athletically inclined as is Al Jefferson, who mentored him last year...He needs
to dump a few of thosemore elaborate moves.Gordon Hayward's drive
down the court in the last few seconds of that game might well be the most
spectacular play of the season.Trey Burke seems to have a knack for being
where he needs to be in the closing seconds of a ball game....I remember a game
where he did the same thing while playing for Michigan in the NCAA's last
year.....The kid must have ice water in his veins.
Once again, the point guard took more shots than anyone on the team. And he only
shot 33%. Meanwhile, he had a total of four assists. But he is the
"hero" of the game. When will the coaches explain to him that he needs
to pass the ball, every once in a while?
Huge fail. Jazz had a chance to make things interesting with Orlando in regard
to moving to the 3rd spot in the lottery. Now there's little to no chance
and it moves us to a more precarious position of slipping to the 5th or 6th
spot.Just lose. It is what it is this year ... JUST LOSE.
At he sixth spot, there will some real point guards available.
