As in many college bb games, this one is hard to call. The team
that prepares best will win the score; the players that give it their best will
win much more! Go Cougars, beware of complacency and pride, play
the whole game, right to the very end.
Honestly, not expecting the Cougs to win this one -- especially without
Collinsworth. But I'm still traveling to the game to cheer them on, hoping
for a W, and enjoy the day with my daughter. Good Luck, Cougars!
I love my Cougies but if we beat Oregon, I will be as surprised as I was that
the U lost to Saint Mary's. But, as they say, that is why they play the
games on the court and not on paper.
If the Cougs win, I'll see this season as a success overall, as we are
relatively young. I think that a win thursday, and a close defeat Saturday will
line us up with huge momentum going into next year, where I expect us to spend
lots of time in the Top 25, with a few NCAA wins..
Oregon is the 7. BYU is the 10. Oregon is supposed to win.I hope
for a BYU upset, but I'm not counting on it. If Haws shoots better than he
did in the WCC Tournament, that will be a start. However, we'll definitely
need contributions from Carlino, Winder, Mika, et al, in order to have a shot at
a W.And Mr. Austin? You used to have a pretty good shot. When you
are open, would you please look to shoot more?
Most of the country expects BYU to lose Oregon, so it would be a nice boost to
the program going forward if the Cougars could pull off the upset. To do that,
two or three players besides Haws are going to have to step it up - Carlino,
Winder and a wildcard like Austin or Halford?Go Cougars!
