Why do SLC residents get this handout? Who is paying for it? Is it going to be
extended to other groups? How long with this be available for SLC residents?
To UTA: If you want the rest of us to use public transportation to and around
SLC, you ought to extend this pricing to everyone...at least ALL Utah residents.
I visit my children often in Utah County and would love to take extended family
members into the "city" on a regular basis. However, it's too
expensive at the per ticket price for me. I suspect I'm not alone in this.
The discount is only available to Salt Lake City residents because the City is
putting up a big chunk of its own tax money to pay UTA for the discounted
passes. If you live outside the City and want in on this deal you need to talk
to your own local government representatives and have them strike the same deal
