100,000? That's a lot of money to some schools. In the PAC 12 that's
"The Cougars fans knocked North Dakota State's fans in the Elite Eight,
Texas-Pan American in the Final Four and Western Illinois in the finals."Impressive company to be in. Pretty shocked that nobody is questioning
the ethics of using captcha scrpits to take down these smaller schools that
could probably use the money more than BYU could.... but, I'm sure they
found a way to justify it. Congrats.
Here's two for flinching: 1. The other schools were using the same scripts;
and 2. It was a contest. Throwing the contest makes it a charity event, and the
"winner" would be nothing more than a welfare recipient. Oh, and as a
bonus: 3. The Utes were also keeping the same "impressive company,"
since they are also a D1 school and also cast votes in the contest. They lost.
@ PGVikingDad1. Two wrongs don't make a right. 2. What
contest? The sweet 16 was comprised of NDSU, Portland, UNCG, Arkansas St., UNC
Asheville, Bryant, UALR, SDSU (South Dakota), WIU, New Mexico, UCF, Southern,
UTPA, UNI, WCU, and of course, BYU. Nothing but small-time directional schools.
USC, Texas, Ohio St., etc. are nowhere to be found. It was a charity to begin
with. 3. Not so. Any fan base with a shred of dignity (like every single
school in a BCS conference, plus some) checked out of the 6th fan competition
early on. It doesn't get more sad than organizing voting parties to take
down the likes of Bryant, Texas-Pan Am, and Western Carolina.
@ FlinchSounds a lot like u's basketball schedule this year and
u won those games fair & square. You see, everyone can make an
argument that things are not always equal. Just let it go.
Sure sounds like sour grapes that BYU has now won two national best fans
contests!!!Go Cougs beat the Ducks!!! Good luck to the rest of the
@ G-Day-M8LOL, loved it. Thanks for starting my Monday off right! Oh
that the trolls would just stay home.....
Holy cow, the Ute fans get upset about a voting contest like this too, Man, just
let it go. If it really meant so little, why are you so upset about the outcome
that you come on here and post such negativity? Amazing, and the saddest things
is that those ute fans really don't understand how they look and come
@byu9293,"Holy cow, the Ute fans get upset about a voting
contest like this too, Man, just let it go"You said it! BYU
could win an ice cream challenge and ute "fans" like Two Flinching would
probably throw a fit. Thanks little brothers for you nonstop obsession. Time to
grow up Flinching. I'm happy byu bothers you so. It makes me smile
knowing you are obsessed with all things byu.
@BYU9293"Holy cow, the Ute fans get upset about a voting contest
like this too"Nobody's upset about BYU winning a voting
contest...we're laughing about the lengths you went to to win it. For
starters, it was a small-time contest with a small-time cash reward, yet it
consumed BYU nation for more than a week. You guys seem awfully bored. Second,
you used underhanded tactics to win it. Don't give me that garbage about
how it's OK because everyone else did it too - that's called
justification. But doing things not entirely on the up-and-up is OK because
it's for BYU, right?
I'm not upset, I'm just calling it what it is.... Sad
KenSandy, UT"100,000? That's a lot of money to some
schools. In the PAC 12 that's pocket change."Ken, for once
I agree with you. Unfortunately, U of U doesn't contribute
much to revenue; but Chris Hill certainly shows up when it's time to split
the benefits. It may be difficult, but you should note that the California,
Arizona, and Oregon schools are the "sugar daddies."
How do these ute "fans" know how byu won?
My question is; what are they talking about? They could have voted just like we
did but then it was a contest to see who has the most supportive fans. I rest
@Flinch The MUSS was in this contest too, they didn' show.
@ 3grandslamsSee my above post:"3. Any fan base with
a shred of dignity checked out of the 6th fan competition early on....."
