@Brad RockStruggled with attendance? Weber State last year averaged
6,601: better than five MWC teams (Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, San
Jose State and Wyoming) and better than five PAC-12 teams (Arizona State, Oregon
State, Stanford, USC, and Washington State). They were better than any WCC, Big
West, WAC, or Big Sky school with the exception of BYU. They were slightly
trailing Nevada, USU, and a couple of PAC-12 schools. Not the
flashiest place to recruit: Damian Lillard (NBA ROY and All-Star), Eddie Gill
(more playing time than Jimmer in the NBA), Harold Arceneaux, Scott Bamforth,
Reuben Nemhard, etcYou gotta get out and come up to the Dee Events
Center more. Thanks for trying though. It was a good article beside those
baffling and nonsensical statements.
@Brad RockAnd what about the Dee Events Center? That facility is
better than about half the PAC-12 schools and about 2/3 of the MWC. Not a place
to recruit? Oh Brad, you gotta get up to the Purple Palace more!
@Brad RockAnd what about the basketball tradition at Weber State?
Named to the top 50 basketball traditions. Come on Brad!
Proud of the Wildcats! Great basketball tradition at Weber and by the way,
attendance has been better there than at Utah games in recent years. And the
best player in the NBA right now from a Utah College is none other than Weber
States Damian Lillard--reigning NBA Rookie of the Year and All Star. Weber
State is Great Great Great!
What's with the comment about attendance. 6,800+ was the average this year.
Oh, yeah, the Salt Lake media members never stop by on their way to Logan. The national media was all over Lillard as a top 10 pick in the NBA
draft, and the SL media was still scratching their heads cause they never
dropped by the Dee to watch him play. Come on up sometime Brad,
we've been watching some talented players and some really good team
oriented basketball for several years. And we had a great time on Saturday
night! Love to have some of the local media (outside Ogden) join us...
Best of luck to Weber State. Coach Rahe is a class guy and WSU is a class act.
