It matters not how many people sign up! What matters is who actually pays,
period! And guess what? Since few who sign up are actually paying, if you pay
taxes, or already have insurance, you will pay, period!
The Affordable care opponents are funny.
Incredible how the opponents "noise" has shifted since last Fall's
launch debacle. The further this goes, the more succesful this law is going to
be. We have Govenor Romney to thank for showing the country the way.
Opposition to ACA is a direct contradiction of the conservative mantra of
"personal responsibility." ACA is personal responsibility. It will
relieve the rest of us taxpayers from having to pay for health care for those
who can't afford it or simply won't obtain it.But instead
of supporting "personal responsibility," our conservative friends are
trying to kill it simply because they hate the president who invented it.It simply doesn't make any sense. But then, not much
else they've done lately makes sense, either.
Thid Baker - Really? You think we'll have trouble paying for it? Well, I
guess we should bump taxes up on those rich one percenters, and that will take
care of it.Back during the Eisenhower administration when we were
fighting a very expensive cold war and building the very expensive interstate
highway system, this nation kept yearly budget deficits low, and even had a
surplus now and then. How? . . . With plenty of revenue. The nominal tax rate for the highest earners was over 90% back then. We've got a looooooong way to go to get anywhere close to that.
The Democrats who are up for re-election in November don't think the ACA is
funny at all, including Alex Sink in Florida! 6 million Americans who had their
healthcare insurance cancelled by Obamacare do not think it is funny. Americans
who heard our President say over and over,"If you like your
healthcare/doctor you can keep it". "My healthcare plan will save the
average American family $2500 every year in insurance premiums". "My
healthcare plan will create 6 million new jobs". Americans who heard Obama
lie over and over again do not think it is funny! According to polls the vast
majority of Americans do not think Obamacare is funny, they think it is a very
expensive mess, period!
Despite the hysterical conservative opposition to the ACA, the more people learn
about it, the more they like it!
Liberal larry. According to a recent Gallup poll, 55% of Americans disapprove of
the ACA. Gallup issued this statement with their poll results, "It is
probably safe to now predict disapproval of the law will remain very high during
the 2014 election. That will make three election cycles the law has been a
problem for Democrats." Obama and the Demos can fool some of the people all
the time but they can not fool all the people all the time.
To "FT" how is the ACA doing any better? Nationally they are still
millions short of minimums needed to properly fund the ACA.Once the
next set of mandates comes online will costs go down? Will people get
their doctors back that they lost under the ACA?Will the other 36
million uninusred get insurance now? Will the cost somehow go down
from $2.7 Trillion to the original $800 billion?Tell us, what will
change now?If you think that Romneycare is a model for the ACA, just
look at it. In Massachussetts ER wait times have increased and the healthcare
model they used for budgeting was proven wrong. The ACA was a mess,
is a mess, and will only cause more problems as time goes on.
