Is this game being televised? If so apparently Dish Network does not offer ESPN 950 in the Salt Lake City market. I'll check PBS.

Collinsworth may be the 2nd best player in the state right behind Haws. He has more rebounds and more points and more steals than wright had and this is just in the first half. Wright is an average player in an average league. BYU is the real deal and are peaking at the right time.

Byu was up like 15 and now down to 7 point lead against mighty Lola Mary community? Announcers said Lmu is so decimated with injuries they only have 7 players essentially.

If byu loses this game they will be the least likely team in the entire state to go dancing.

    Go Lmu!

Officiating really one-sided in favor of LMU second half.

When will you ever learn that your support of a team is the kiss of death? Thanks for your support for the best team in te state that just won today. Collingsworth just doubled up wright in points and rebounds. The best two players in the state are both on BYU. Sorry crissy. U lose again.

Chris B what happened to the Utes at Stanford? Just wondering. You need to take off your crimson colored glasses and expnd your horizons.

    CB,
Now you look rweal silly for your post. BYU wins and u loses. The planets are back in alignment and as is as it should be on the hill. The little brother will not be dancing .........again. I love my WCC membership.

Anson Winder made a huge difference in this game with his defense especially! Fun game to watch and have to give credit to LMU, then battled very hard.

Gonzaga would win the PAC 12 if in that conference.

Makes the WCC the superior conference.

@downunder and worf - your comments have gotten just as crazy as Chris B. Too bad the DN doesn't have a policy to prohibit comments that have no basis in reality, would make the comments a lot more interesting to see actual fans make logical comments about the actual article.

As for this game, the Y did their job and moved on. This win doesn't help them but a loss would have done a lot of damage. Similar story for their next game. Want to argue my comment, fine; but drop the red vs. blue dialogue.

Even with byu win this game they will be the least likely team in the entire state to go dancing.

The mighty Utes will go dancing because they are impressed with our close rode games in a pretegous conference and because we are moving onward and upward even when we lose.

    Go Utes!

Anyone notice how utah chalked up another "L" today?? But I digress once again.

That is right - the best two players in Utah are both at BYU. No need to print their names because everyone knows who I am referring to.

Winder is hitting his stride at just the right time. Great D and hitting some big shots. Collinsworth as well. Always steady Haws is doing great things. Austin is a machine on the rebounds. Freshman all conference team Mika is leaving his mark.

This is going to be a fun ride.

    March Madness!

    Go Cougars!

Good Luck Cougars with your next opponent USF.

Wasn't it Idaho State, the Big Sky's 10th place team that beat USF on their home floor this year? And wasn't it before USF lost their 2nd best player for the year?

BYU-TV was proclaiming BYU now plays defense, 74 points to LMU? As of now, you might be playing Santa Clara on Monday.

    @Down under
Collinsworth may be the 2nd best player in the state right behind Haws.

    --------

Yes, and they both will be playing in Europe with Jimmer. So far Jimmer has more DNPs than points in Chicago, so I might not be far off.

    At Tom

Wright would get drafted higher then any BYU player and that's a fact! After what Jimmer has done in the NBA that's pretty obvious.

Good Luck to BYU the rest of the way

Chris B is succeeding once again. The only way he/she loses is for no one to take note of him/her.

It is such a waste of time pitting the blue against the red. and the red against the blue. They are divorced now, and fortunately run into each other only occasionally. The utes have new friends and the cougs have new friends. Let them court their new-found friends in peace.

The cream will rise to the top of their respective league. Let us all hope that we and our brothers will succeed in doing just that -- sooner than later.

Actually Cletus the selection committee is not impressed with Utah's non-conference strength of schedule. Because of that despite their 20 wins and their close losses to UCLA and Arizona they will not do dancing unless they win the tournament. B.Y.U. wins the tournament they get the automatic berth. Many analysts who look at this rationally and don't have this hatred for B.Y.U. also believe that B.Y.U. can still get an at large berth with two wins in their tournament because of their non-conference strength of schedule. They took care of LMU now they need to take care of San Francisco. Go Cougs!!

  • TXAfghanVet Dallas, TX

Nice win for the Cougs. Should help their chances getting into the NCAA tournament. I Just checked Bracketology. BYU is projected as an 11 seed (with upward momentum). Weber St is projected as a 16 seed. Utah Valley is projected as a 16 seed. I'd report where the Utes are seeded, but they don't have projections for the NIT brackets.

    CO Ute
Agree with you about the "crazies." However, it seems like 60% of the crimson comments partake of the red "cool aid," while about 40% of the Cougar comments are under the influence of the blue stuff.

Never the less, the Cougars won an important game and moved a step closer to the Dance.

Good teams will find different ways to win when the three ball isn't working. Good thing that BYU has plenty of talent to go around. They are hitting their stride at the right time. With the two best players in the state I like their chances the rest of the season and into the NCAA.

Only the entire upper half of the conference.

If Gonzaga played Arizona 10 times this season they would go 10-0.

NIce game for the Cougars. Now teams will have to deal with Kyle and not just Ty. The trolls are focusing on the NBA draft and not the BYU win, strange indeed.
