"If you like your insurance, you can keep it.""If you like
your doctor, you can keep your doctor.""The Affordable Care Act
will save $2500 a year."Good Luck Governor.
So...... the Pres. "promised" to work with states on Medicaid
expansion? How much are his "promises" worth - at this point?
(no, I won't bother to list all the unkept promises from this Pres.)They must have been serving White House "koolaid" at this event.
Dear Governor:I have a bridge for sale.
Dear Governor Herbert- I applaud your eagerness to "cooperate."However, you certainly must have noticed by now that President Obama
NEVER does what he says, and quite often does the exact opposite, after milking
all the good publicity value of his statements. You cannot trust
Obama. Period.Do not fall for the bait of "We'll pay most
of the bills now" and sign on to a deal that commits Utahns to pay most of
the bills for eternity for the illusion of helping today's uninsured.Stand firm, and know when to walk away. Tomorrow would be a good time.
Let's get someone in there everyone can believe all the time - Dick Cheney.
Governor, you can't be that naive. Obama hasn't spoken a word or truth
in six years, and you believe him now? You should state publicly "Mr.
President, you've lied to this country every time you've opened your
mouth, and we don't believe you now either. You're driving this
country to destruction, please stop, resign, go back to Chicago, but leave the
White House so we have some slim chance of recovering from all the damage you
have inflicted on this country."
OK, the right wingers here make their snarky comments. Do they care about those
with unmet medical needs? I thought not. They'd rather take pot shots and
the president. This is getting very old.
Dear Governor. Thanks for being thoughtful about our interaction with the
federal government. We do not need a knee-jerk conservative who can only repeat
the mantra "Federal government bad! Obama bad!"
Down goes the tea party for the count.
In spite of all the negative comments from Conservatives, the fact is . . .
Barack (the Mailman) Obama delivers. In spite of incessant
obstructionism from Right Wingers, No Drama Obama who got Osama is still
delivering on his promises. The Affordable Care Act IS the Law of the
Land, to the huge benefit of America and Americans, no matter how much
Conservatives try to rewrite that story.
I hope our good governor has the sense not to beleive anything coming from
BO's mouth.Marxist,conservatives don't care about
others' unmet needs? more so than liberals - conservatives donate more of
their OWN time, money, and other resources for the care of the poor than
liberals. Unless, of course, you count liberals' demands that other
peoples' money be given to care for the needy.GaryOBO
delivers?HAH!the list is too long, but let's start with
"if you like your current plan, you can keep it" and "the cost per
family will decrease by $2500 per year"NOTHING BO has delivered
has been good.I see our usual leftist suspects choose not to name
any promises BO has actually delivered on. They just take shots at those who
see through BO's lies.
First, the ACA (ie. Obamacare) is off to a strong start in Utah.By
February 1st over 30,000 Uthans have signed up for new private insurance on
healthcare.gov. Utah's insurance premiums are among the lowest in the
nation according to surveys by Kaiser Health News. Over 26,000 Utahns under age
26 are able to stay on their parents insurance. And no one can be denied or
priced out of coverage bceause of preexisting condition. That's
Obamacare in action... in Utah.Second, about that bridge to sale. The
Speaker's Plan wants to sell us a half-built bridge that costs Utah
taxpayers twice as much. The Governor wants to build a bridge that gets all the
way across Utah's coverage gap and spends our taxpayer dollars more
wisely.Would bridge would you rather drive on?
The most popular governor in the country? According to the Washington Post.1. Utah Gov. Gary Herbert (R): A poll last month showed
Herbert's favorable rating at a sterling 73 percent, and he destroys all
potential 2016 opponents in a head-to-head matchup. Yes, this was the reddest
state in the 2012 election, but Herbert's popularity even outpaces his
predecessors. This is another decision by Gov. Herbert that will only
help his popularity by not being another do nothing, say anything teapublican,
GaryO is quite correct about Obama. To the conservatives who blindly
repeat the hate from the Anti-Obama everything club, I have to ask, do you also
get your information on the LDS church from the Westboro Baptist Church?
The unaffordable health care plan has booted many more people off of their
insurance than the few that might slip through the cracks in Utah. Besides they
can get healthcare, even if they don't have insurance. If Herbert is
encouraged by what Obama says, then I worry a little about our executive.
lost in DC - Yes, Obama delivers.Of course, he should have said
"if you like your health care insurance, you can keep it IF it meets basic
criteria," but that was already assumed by reasonable people. And most of
the five percent of people, who supposedly lost their coverage, simply had their
coverage modified to meet criteria. They were never uninsured. And
yes, health care costs will be much less than they otherwise would be. The bang
for one's buck will be ear shattering compared to the huge costs dictated
by the waste, inefficiency, and predatory exploitation in the past that
Conservatives feel so nostalgic about now.So, as you can see, the
Obama administration is enjoying success to the benefit of America, in spite of
all the obstructionist tactics of angry Right Wingers. For many
years now, the United States has had the most expensive health care in the
world, without the best results. Obama and the Dems took action . . . And
If Utah returns Utah's refund to the Feds, Utah only subsidizes other
states. This is not a football game. There are real Utahns caught in this
doughnut hole. For example: a single woman earning $20,000 is between
to 100% to 400% poverty level and qualifies for tax credit insurance
benefits. But, a single mother earning $20,000 is below the poverty
line and is NOT eligible for the insurance benefits.Dumb doughnut
hole that is created by not taking our refund.
