Oh man, the Jazz look pathetic. We didn't have LA, or our
backup center (Freeland) or our 3rd backup (Leonard), and the Jazz still manage
to lose. Too funny. It was a moral victory, right Jazz fans? Yay for
the youth movement!! Yay for moral victories!!#kansascityjazz
@trailblazer (d to p)Yeah it must be pretty devastating to be missing a
back up and a 3rd backup. The only important missing pieces were LA for Portland
and Favors for Utah. Say what you want but Favors is just as important to Utah
as Lamarcus is to Portland. The Jazz were playing on Portlands home court and
gave them all they could handle. The Jazz are slowly getting better and Portland
is falling like a rock so Portland fans better not get too exited about a season
that is falling apart quickly.
Corbin needs to go. Since the Jazz let Jeff H. get away I would suggest Avery
Johnson or Nate McMillan would do a much better job of coaching!
As Shakespeare said, "Oh what a tangled web se weave". The Jazz need
that draft choice. On the bright side, they have really developed. They will
cut four high priced veterans in Williams, Jefferson, Rush, and Biedrins. They
will have lots of cap room for free agents. However, I am afraid that Hayward
has already made his mind up to go to Boston and be reunited with his old coach.
The Jazz will match the offer but it will be astronomical. Actually, Hayward has
some big faults. I would say that the Jazz should make a big effort at going
after the fan pleaser in Jimmer.
Denver to Portland is mad the Jazz lost this game because they are moving up the
tank standings with this loss. I hope they lose every game from here on out.
Portland picked a horrible year to be good. This is the deepest draft in
history. Of course if Portland did draft a guy, he would be a bust just like
Greg Oden or have a 5 year career like Brandon Roy.
Yes it was a moral victory. A team with an average age of 22 almost beat a team
that is going to the playoffs. Just think in a year or two with another lottery
pick. Not only that but Trey goes off for 21 on 16 shots, all while
Lillard goes off for 28 with 28 shots. We have a legit PG, we have a legit SG,
none of your players could stop our 7th man in Kanter(lol 7th man puts up 25 and
7, nice defense. So 2 21 year olds put up 46 on you, while Burkes(6th man) put
up 15. Now cancel out our starters that will be leaving in Marvin and Jefferson
and replace them with a lottery pick and another top 20?Moral is
right. Portland will never amount to nothing but a first round playoff loss.
That's not concerning in the least. We add some pieces and spend the ample
money we have in FA's, things are looking rather nice for a first year
rebuilding team that nearly beat a first round loss team.
If Coach Corbin goes (which I truly hope he does NOT), then whoever takes his
place will be able to take the credit for all of the development that Ty has
done throughout his tenure up to that point. That doesn't seem fair to Ty,
since he was handed such a bag of worms right from the beginning. I can't
imagine who could have done a better job under those circumstances. Why
can't we give him at least a couple of more years to continue that path?
See where it goes?? He is certainly doing something right with the obvious
improvement of Kantor, Burkes, Burk, Marvin, Favors, Jeremy, Garrett, etc. Ty
has grown along with all of them towards a good future. Yes, I hope we get a
good draft pick, but will that young fellow have so much pressure on him to be
the Jazz' salvation? I don't know.....
@VeraLouiseCome on....did you think Jeff Hornacek was handed a good
roster with the one he had in Phoenix...Talent wise i think we edge Phoenix
out....its all about coaching and looking to make maximum use of your player....
