I have no respect for Deron . After what he pulled with the Jazz and the after
math leading up to Jerry Sloan's departure. Thanks but No Thanks .
Deron was a baller to be sure. Loved watching him when he played here. No
doubt Jerry Sloan got the most out of Deron that there was to be had. It has
been all down hill since.Deron has since complained and hinted that
he has learned that he had it pretty good in Utah. He had problems with the
"iso" system initially in Indiana. He learned its a lot of work and not
very productive to have to do everything on your own when the offense
essentially is "here take the ball and get your shot off". Its unfortunate for Deron his health has deteriorated but in hindsight
O'Conner looks like a genius for unloading Deron and getting what he got
which is a defensive anchor to patrol the paint. Deron had a good
run here though and now the Jazz have a chance to improve even more. The Jazz need to unload at the deadline so they can lose more. If they
squander the chance at a deep draft it could set the franchise back many years.
There are no guarantees in a draft but odds are better with this one.Losing this much is gaining nothing.
I'm a big D-Will fan but a bigger Jazz fan. I really wish Jazz fans
wouldn't boo Williams. I think a polite applause when he first enters the
game and then nothing after that would be appropriate. I know he used to butt
heads with Sloan a little but I think it was due to being young and very
competitive. I don't mind a guy that gets fired up because he wants so much
to win. I don't think it would have bothered Sloan too much in his earlier
coaching days but I think he was getting tired of coaching full time and just
wanted to start enjoying life a little more.
