What rubbish. If large amount of tax money equaled quality education,
than we'd have the best educated people in the world, and we wouldn't
vote in leaders who creates a seventeen trillion dollar debt.
The State School Board is hardly an impartial observer on this issue. It is their policies which continue to drive up education costs. It
is their empire which will be given more money confiscated from taxpsyers if the
exemption limit passes. Why is it that it is always the hard working
taxpayers are forced to make do with less money, and never a government run
How many times are we fooled by the phrase "it's an investment for the
future"? Let's raise taxes! It's like the same re-runs
of a president using infrastructure as a reason to raise taxes. Are
we a nation of fools?
Families better served by quality education than tax breaks...says the guy whose
salary is paid with taxes.
And to think! Our country had no income taxes till 1913!How did the industrial revolution ever happen?
As a true fiscal conservative, I can think of no bigger hypocrisy than hearing
the outcry from the "conservative" right on the SB118 issue. It is our
right to have as many children as we want - as long as we can take care of them
(food, shelter, education)ourselves. To whine about the removal of tax
exemptions for more than two children is simply shirking one's
People who didn't raise children benefit from the efforts of those who
do/did. It takes a younger generation to pay into Social Security. Without a
younger generation, once the older generation is no longer productive, who will
do the work? Who will make the goods we all need to live, who will join the
military to defend the country? Who will provide police protection? Without
workers how will companies pay dividends that the older generation depends on in
their retirement? It takes work, time and effort to raise children
not just money. Even with tax breaks parents pay most of the needed money and
put out most of the needed time and effort. Everyone benefits from these
efforts. If this is to pass into law, then people who don't
raise children should be asked to pay more taxes, so that they can help pay for
all the benefits they get from 'other people's children'.
What's wrong with paying your fair share? What's wrong with
holding people accountable for their choices? If you choose to have
big families then you should pay for them. No free lunches. Be accountable
folks, it's that simple!
