If $10.25 per hour is good, why not just make it $50.00 per hour and let
everyone live in luxury? What these caring and compassionate people
fail to realize is that people have to add value to an employer's business
to justify ANY wage. And, any increase in wages necessarily WILL be passed on
in price increases for products or services. Plus, raising the minimum wage
will drive all other higher wages up by at least as much, creating an
inflationary spiral.Perhaps the "hie the wage" advocates
would like to start their own businesses and pay employees higher wages.
It's a free country and they CAN do this if they are serious. If no, then
that confirms that they are just trying to spend other people's money.
Its not McDonalds or Walmarts responsibility to pay enough for a person to
provide for a family, even if that person has a family. Its that person's
responsibility. Its only a company's responsibility to pay for
a portion of the value of the work done(companies don't exist without
making a profit). If a person is worth more than they are making,
another "greedy" business owner will be more than happy to hire that
person at a higher wage than they are currently making. If he didn't hire
such a person, he'd be giving up the chance to make more money himself,
which we know greedy business owners wouldn't do.If there
isn't a business out there willing to pay what someone wants to earn - then
they aren't worth that kind of money. And its their responsibility to
improve their skill set such that it will demand a higher wage.Only
a lazy person would blame the rich for their financial situation.
Raise minimum wages? It's evil how politicians are so anxious to
spend other peoples money.Michelle wears a twelve thousand dollar
dress, and holds an eight thousand dollar purse, while her husband speaks out
about wage inequality.Crazy!
How about we just try to drive businesses out of utah! This is such a stupid
idea, no offense to people making minimum wage.. I just think it's poor
