It is more prudent to focus on older children who actually benefit from school,
as opposed to sticking more pre-schoolers in so called "intervention."
It is time to dump the German education system from the 1800s (which is where
the word "kindergarten" comes from). It would be much
better if public school was only from 3rd grade on. It would focus tax dollars
on where schools actually work, then on forcing children into a so-called
"learning environment" where it is not suited to their learning styles.
Funding education before 3rd grade is a waste of money, and a waste of
childhood. School actually gets in the way of learning, and we should get out
of the way and let children learn.Pre-K funding is even more of a
waste than k-2 funding. Moving children through like little soldiers on an
assembly line is a national tragedy.
Parents need to learn to use their own best judgement. Some parents may feel
that the year is better spent with their child at home being taught by the
father or mother or grandparents. Leave it up to the parents to decide what
type of education they want their young children to have. And if they feel that
someone else can do a better job teaching their child letters and numbers, then
let them do their homework in finding the best fit of a preschool for their
child. Personally I feel that parents too often want to pass the buck to
