Mike Lee's speech will be for more truthful and useful than the one that
will be delivered earlier!
Just another blame GWB and the GOP speech!
Awesome......couldn't think of anyone who I like more who can tangle up
Looking how the first two T-Party responders have done (Bachman & Cain)
gives pragmatic conservatives hope for 2016 that a new Republican will be
representing Utah in 3 more years. A Republican that can get things done!
It boggles my mind that Lee's critics talk about how out-of-touch he is
with the GOP.Truth be told the things Mike Lee stands for are more in tune
with the GOP platform than the palaver Karl Rove and Reince Priebus are trying
to sell us.Never mind all that.
Mr. Lee, his party and their supporters are completely irrelevant. After the
calamity they caused a few months back with the Government shut down I think the
public has had their fill of Mr. Lee and the Tea Party. I disagree
with pretty much everything Jason Chaffetz says and dose but I will give the
devil his due, I believe Mr. Chaffetz acts upon what he thinks is right and what
is good for Utah. He walks the walk and his intentions are to move the State
and the Country forward in a constructive manor. Can any one really say the
same about Mr. Lee and the Tea Party? We need serious leaders with
the intent of coming together and moving this country forward. If seriousness
and forward progression is what your interested in than vote a Republican,
Democrat or maybe even a Independent into office in 2016. If you want
never-ending finger pointing and being fooled into believing all of your
problems are because of the Government than by all means keep Lee right where he
is at.Like I said, Irrelevant.
Have Mr. Lee and Mr.Cruz written a check for the 23 BILLION dollars lost on
their government shutdown yet? Can't wait to see Mr. Lee champion for
"fiscal responsibility" again.
I remember catching a C-Span interview with Lee where he was wholly caught off
guard with a simple question which the interviewer referred back to repeatedly.
Lee took such a beating on that show that I felt bad for the guy and the State
of Utah. Why couldn't the party ask Chaffetz or Mia Love to do this?
Either of them can hold their own in a public forum.
Fiscal reality is not "irrelevant." Mr. Obama said that GWB's use
of the Chinese credit card was irresponsible and unpatriotic. This president has
used the Chinese credit card more than any other president and our national debt
will soon reach $22 trillion. Someone must hold Mr. Obama responsible for the
burgeoning sovereign debt that our grandchildren will face. Giving all things to
all people may get you re-elected, but it is like buying a new car and sending
the bill to China. It cannot last forever. Like I said, Relevant.
Re: 4601,I used the word constructive. Blaming
President Obama for Mr. Lee's ineptitude or anything else that is wrong
with America seems to be the standard Tea Party answer. Like I mentioned above,
for the majority of the public the "Blame" dog doesn't hunt any
more. We are sick of hearing it about Bush and we are sick of hearing about it
with Obama. It's time to move on. It's easy to point
fingers and I would be a liar if I said I did not engage in that kind of
behavior. The truth is the issues America faces today are not the result of any
one person. It took many years many people and many parties to create the
issues we have now and it's going to take many years many people and many
parties to solve them. And by the way, I am all for doing away with the
Political Parties. In the end we are all Americans. IMHO I
don't really see Mr. Lee or the Tea Party interested in any thing other
than blame and chaos.
Just a short time ago, the head of the Tea Party Express was disavowing the fact
that the Tea Party was a political party. It was a movement within the
Republican party, but they were Republicans he stated. If that's
the case, the Republicans are already giving an official response. Why have
two?If the Tea Party is a PAC, then why are they getting any more
airtime than any other PAC who would like to give their response to the
President's State of the Union address? And is Senator Lee a
Republican or a member of the Tea Party? It seems in a lot of statements
recently, he's been trying to back slowly away from the Tea Party positions
that got him in hot water. Now he's stepping up to give the Tea Party
response?I'm not sure Senator Lee know which side of the line
he wants to be on, other than the winning side. The only question is which will
Bungalow.....I don't care how you spin the GWB debt.......but here is THE
REAL FACTS...Obama has added more to the debt than all the POTUS
combined......he is the single biggest failure in history.Real
unemployment is 37%....and the constitution is hanging by a thread! Spin spin
spin on that!
Bendana 23 billion is a drop in the bucket to the trillions Lee tried to cave
the American people from Obamacare........but you folks in Washington can't
see the forest through the trees
My first comment was denied...I was invited to re-submit.Mike Lee is
special.Under 200 words...and does violate any of the new DN
I'm thrilled that Senator Lee will be giving the response to Barack
Obama's State of the Union. As a man of principle, he has kept every single
promise he made on the campaign trail. And he's been encouraging people to
leave comments on his FB page as to what they would like to hear about. As to the earlier comment about Lee and Cruz paying for the government
shutdown. Anyone that was actually paying attention knows that it was the
Democrats who shut the government down. Really, what can two senators do?
Nothing but keep fighting.
Boy the old guard Republicans come out of the woodwork when Mike Lee is
mentioned. I have never met a grass roots Republican that didn't approve
of Mike Lee.
