Powerhouse UCLA at our place every year....I love being in the Pac 12.

Now lets go get a big time win.

No team from Utah has a win over a ranked team yet, lets be the first.

    I'll be there tomorrow.

    Will U?

I think that the utes will give the Bruin's a good game but will fall in the end. There is just too much talent at UCLA and not enough at Utah.

    Gone fishin,

What does that say about the talent level of a team that Utah(who according to you doesn't have enough talent to beat a good UCLA team) beat by 17?

I think the Utes will win easily and stickers for everybody in attendance.

    Great idea, EdGrady...I'm in!

    Go Utes / Go Pac-12!

"every time I hear Utah's playing UCLA, or USC, or Oregon, or Stanford, or...."

I expect another loss added to Utah's dismal conference record.

    I love it!

Utah fan: "What do the Runnin' Utes have to do to make not only your Bracketology, but also the Big Dance?"

    Joe Lunardi: "Re-do NonConf sked"

Just as knowledgeable fans have been saying since November, Chris Hill and coach small k killed Utah's NCAA tourney chances before the season began with their pathetic non-conference schedule.

    Riddles,

    I agree.

Beating up on cupcakes like Katherine community and west coast cupcake byu just doesn't impress anyone.

I am so glad we are finally playing real competition

    Go utes! Onward. Upward.

I think you mean... just as bitter fans have been saying since December 14.

I haven't heard anybody say differently. You're arguing against nobody.

Big game today, Win today and we're a 6th seed with some massive road games coming up next to prove if we belong at that spot.

In the end, it'll be the same rhetoric.

We played a tougher schedule than BYU, and just couldn't quite compete in the PAC.

Football next fall, will also be a repeat.

    CB

"Beating up on cupcakes like Katherine community and west coast cupcake BYU just doesn't impress anyone."

    Don't kid yourself.

Beating up on Evergreen and St. Katherine high schools certainly didn't impress anybody, but #150 Utah beating #37 BYU was by far the biggest upset and best win of the season for Utah, and the worst loss of the season for BYU.

    -------------

    Uteology

"Win today and we're a 6th seed with some massive road games..."

Just like CB, you're only fooling yourself.

The Utes have NO CHANCE of beating UCLA today and have even less of a chance of winning on the road where the Utes have lost 18 of the 19 games they've played since joining the PAC.

The truth is, the Utes are battling WSU, OSU, and USC for a 9th through 12th seed and an early exit from the PAC tournament.

  • StGtoSLC SALT LAKE CITY, UT

Riddles, according to ESPN, Pomeroy, and Sagarin, you're fooling yourself. Pepperdine (153, 135, 133) and Loyola (184, 157, 164) were much, much, much worse losses than the game at Utah (51, 53, 63), which BYU never had a chance in after the opening tip. But the Cougs still have a chance to best those at Santa Clara (185, 171, 183) tonight. A mediocre record against a tough strength of schedule may drive an RPI up, but there are a lot of other, more consistent ratings to consider as well.

You guys seriously don't think anyone believes you are happy with byu being in the WCC playing against nobodies in gymnasiums where they pull the bleachers out for each game, do you? Why don't you stop kidding yourselves and just acknowledge that you don't like what Holmoe has done. Maybe then you can you will realize that the University of Utah is not responsible for the predicament byu is in and you will be able to stop obsessing over everything Utes. Some of you guys are more informed about what's going on in the Pac-12 than I am. Why is that?

1 or 2 point dogs at home, I'd say the Utes have an excellent chance. Good match ups between some of the best players in the conference, should be fun. Go Runnin' Utes!

    riddles,

byU is 0-4 against top 25 teams so I like Utah's chances better than byU's would be.

And speaking of top 25 teams, guess how many there are from the mighty WCC?

    Zero!

    LOL

    @Riddles in the Dark

This team is 0-3 on the road and lost in the final seconds of each game. This is not the same talent as the previous years. But you should know that since your team was eaisly thrashed by this same team.

The truth is this team is on the rise and just like football it's on its way to passing you by.

According to Vegas UCLA is a favorite by 1.5 point, so Utah has a great chance to pull off a win at home today.

The Utah-UCLA game is on right now and the Utes are off to a great start. Let's enjoy the game and hope they can keep it going.

    ----------

    True, not yet.

The same rhetoric from down south, we just can't compete with Utah so scoreboard doesn't matter but Sagarin and RPI does.

@Riddles: "The Utes have NO CHANCE of beating UCLA today"

Vegas has UCLA a 1.5 point favorite over Utah.

    Halftime: Utah 36 UCLA 26

It could be worse for UCLA, if Wright didn't uncharacteristically miss layups in transition.

Utah plays some great defense, that's why they've been in every game even when shooting horribly. Can you say the same for BYU? When they struggled shooting BYU was blown out, even by LMU the worst team in the WCC.

The Utah-UCLA game is on right now and the Utes are off to a great start leading by 10 at the half. Let's enjoy the game and hope they can keep it going in the 2nd half.

It would be awesome for the program to beat a nationally ranked team.

    Nice win Utes!

Good to see different players stepping up on the offensive end when they needed it, especially Ogbe off the bench. Need to work on breaking the press. These last two games showed much improvement on the offensive end and still plenty of room to get better.

The Riddle in the dark for the day...who coined the phrase "never say never?"

Winning games in this conference is hard, even for the top teams. Every coach in the PAC 12 says it (football and basketball), and they mean it. Arizona has had some tough conference games.

Good to see those kids who have worked so hard celebrate a tough win!!!

    Go Utes!!
