I remember my dad keeping track of the gas mileage of the car and gas prices, how much was spent. Mom would write a grocery list and keep track of how much things coasted and how much was spent. I'm going to start to do that.

Every politician should be required to go to a financial course. The solution to all of our problems is not "lack of taxes, need more taxes, borrow, spend, kick the can down the road". Just as a household needs to balance their budget and pay down debt, our country needs to slim down it's programs, it's buying and focus on balancing the budget and paying off debt.

I'm so tired of the number games the politicians play. Had they been responsible with Social Security and ran it as it was set up. There would be talks about the success of the program, rather than how do we borrow and take more money from it and how do we raise taxes, fees and increase the age limit.

It's very sad where our country is.
