This is good news, byu will need him to pull off the upset over Pepperdine.
@Christopher - 2 for 11 must be painful.Great news that Mika will be
back. That was a nasty tumble he took. I'm glad Neilson is
back from his mission in plenty of time to get ready for the 2014/15 season.
We're going to need him with Mika's departure. I haven't seen
him play in person, but his videos are impressive. Next season will
be stocked at the guard positions, but weak at the 4 and 5. I hope Rose is
looking for a JC big man.
Mika must learn to control himself and thus cut down fouls and foolish injuries
caused by jumping around too much. Holding ground and position and saving body
for continuous play are a part of smart play. These new guys will not be
available to play this year, but may still influence team chemistry. Love to
see the Cougars pursue and defend as hard as they go when on a fast break...love
to see them turn it around and become known as great defenders.
Mika is getting better and better and I fully anticipate he will be at the top
of his game in Late February and early March... I think that the Cougs are going
to like what happens in the Tournament if they keep playing like we did on
Saturday.I am really hoping that the Coach brings back Kaufusi for
the balance of League play... We could really use his physical presence, his
defense and his Foul allotment to help keep Austin and Mika out of foul
trouble.Mendenhall probably doesn't want him missing Spring
Ball like he did last year so that might be a problem... But I believe the
Basketball team could sure benefit... A bunch.
ponyman - it has already been reported that Kaufusi has chosen not to play
basketball this year in order to focus on football.
