This kid is the main reason I back whatever Dennis Lindsey elects to do with
this team....I'm not at all crazy about Corbin coaching these youngsters,
but if Lindsey says that's best for now, I accept that.....His trade with
Minnesota on draft night to obtain Burke was a brilliant move.
Its no time to gush sweet words about Corbin. Lets just say Burk is doing
The fact Burke is in the top 5 in assist to turnover ration in the entire NBA is
a staggering statistic.PG is one of the toughest positions as a
rookie. Turning the ball over is basically what NBA rookies do and even moreso
as the PG given the amount of time the have the ball in their hands.Impressive to say the least. The other thing that I am thrilled
about is the effect that Burke has had on Favors. Favors effort I think has
doubled or tripled since Burke got here. Favors is altering shots everywhere
and having a big impact on the game. He altered shots at the end of the Orlando
game that prevented overtime and also at the end of the Charlotte game that
likely impacted the outcome.Favors is also taking alot less bad
shots since Burke got here. They look awesome together in the pick and roll
when Favors dives to the basket. Not too many players want to step in front of
Favors on that play. Its awesome how Burke helps Favors take take the shots he
is supposed to.Solid foundation of players for the future.
Just don't play so well we miss a shot at Parker or Wiggins! :)
Forget that "don't play so well" meme. The Jazz have plenty of
options next year (in picks, expiring contracts and cap room) even if they play
winning ball for the rest of the season(a lot to expect but not impossible) -
and already have more young talent with plenty of future upside than many NBA
teams. They should - as they have for decades - keep on playing the
Jazz brand of basketball that's kept a stable, successful franchise here -
while many other teams have experienced turmoil, city moves (from much larger
cities than here), unhappy locker rooms, empty stadiums, etc. The rest will sort
itself out.And a winning 5 game road trip by later tonight would be
a statement they continue to do so.Leave the swoons to the teams
already filled with divas of questionable team committment and character.
(I'm talking to you, two decades of the Knicks and Nets, the once Wizards,
etc., etc. trying to buy or lottery their way to success.)
Just noticing on the NBA Power Rankings that the Jazz have inched their way up
from number 30 at the bottom to number 26 with Trey running the team.
Lookin' gooooood!!!Go Jazzboys tonight at Memphis!!
"Air Jordan had a message for error-free rookie Trey Burke"And the message was…?
