Here are the Utah Jazz goals for the 2013-2014 season.1. Lose and
get the most ping-pong balls in the draft lottery2. Get lucky and
win the draft lottery3. Hope Jabari Parker decides to enter the
draft.4. Have the common sense to pick Parker in the draft.None of these are a guarantee, especially with Trey Burke in there
putting a wrench in the gears. I'm thinking he must have missed the team
meeting, when the Jazz were setting the team goals for the 2013-2014 season.
He didn't miss any meeting. It's posters like you who forgot how to
root for the current Jazz team. Remember, the Jazz may still get your chosen one
even if they win 35 games.
As always good post David..I still cannot figure out why Lucas is playing at
all. He should be on the inactive with Harris. Jazz must be showcasing Rush.
Don't think anyone would take him except if it fits the math..One
thing the team is doing this year that no one has mentioned is learning how to
close out games. This was something Jazz were horrible at last year. One of the
better things for the kids. This is where Burks and Burke come in. They
don't quit and ain't scared of nobody..
@ Scalman I did not forget how to root for the current Jazz team,
in fact I have been rooting for them since about 1982. The only difference is I
am rooting for them to lose this year, because I want them to get the #1 pick,
and I hope it is Parker. I understand Jabari Parker may not even enter the
draft, but the Jazz need to be in a position to land him if he is. By the way
Duke University Coach K (who knows a thing or two about basketball, and
basketball talent), has compared Jabari Parker to Kobe Bryant, and also to Grant
Hill. So I guess you could get excited about winning 35 games which would give
the Jazz about a 3 to 4 % chance at the #1 pick, and about 0% chance of making
the playoffs, or you could hope for about 20 wins and a 25 % chance at the #1
pick. I know where I stand.
