Nothing to be surprised about here. Whether it's been Stocton and Malone,
Boozer and D Will, Jefferson and Millsap, or Hayward and Favors the Jazz always
struggle with the Spurs. The Spurs are good. Enough said. It's a good
learning experience and you move on.
New season same results. Go Spurs Go
Decent game....about what one should expect....Spurs are well coached and highly
disciplined. Funny the things that stand out when you watch games....I saw
Parker cutting off Duncan screens over and over again, and he sheds his man
every time, because he passes so close to Duncan that he brushes against
him...Duncan, as he passes by, sort of fades away, and never gets called for a
foul.Burke is cutting aff screens a bit early and not giving the big
time to get set. Then he is cutting too wide off the screen, causing the big to
lean in order to pick the man...resulting in a foul and a turnover. This is highly coachable....So why are they doing this?
True, it was a good learning game. The only thing that upset me was the many
times Ginoble and Parker got away with flops. I guess being long time players
you learn to do that but it is a skill I hope the Jazz will do without. They
have a tough schedule but they can do it if they put their mind to it.
