God bless you, Chris, and your family. While I often wish there was something I
could do, and desire to make a difference, you are actually there, away from
your family and comfortable life, making a tangible difference. For those of us
who aren't able to go there and serve, hopefully we can find a moment here
to reach out and make an impact on someone's life here in our little corner
of the world. There are always opportunities to serve and bless. I commit to
doing something today that blesses someone else. Thanks for the inspiration.
I am so proud and grateful for the whole team, to take time from their busy
family life and profession to go give service that only they are qualified to
give. I pray that they will be blessed to give optimal service, feel
satisfaction in their efforts, and come home safe!!! Let's follow their
example and serve those around us.
The help all of you are giving really is wonderful! One thing I
wonder with the local and national government there, is if they are investing
some of the rebuilding into building new infrastructure there that would enable
the local people to build back stronger and with a better economy potential?
Extreme poverty does leave people more vulnerable to catastrophe, so
increasing the opportunities to get out of poverty would help here, but it does
require attention from more than just the caregivers currently on the ground.
