The Utes desperately need a healthy Jake back for Oregon; the big question is
how well can he catch the ball with that tender wrist?
I love the Murph. He is one guy who won't tip the ball in the
air. The type of receiver the Utes desperately need.
Some of the best orthopedists in the country at the University Orthopedic
Center. I have complete faith in their judgment on whether he is ready to play
or not. It'd be great to see him out there, but completely understandable
if he needs more time.
Maybe the quick recovery is due to the special foaming ice tubes at the new
It's a perfect match; a qb with a bad paw that can't throw and a tight
end with a bad paw that may not be able to catch. Put them in coach.
No question he'll be playing on Sundays. Between his toughness, as shown
by playing the game with a broken wrist, and his pure physical abilities, he is
a special talent.Would be great to see him out there, giving us a
much needed extra weapon.Go Utes!
Just my opinion; but with Murphy we would have defeated Arizona State last
@who am iWoulda, coulda, shoulda....
With BYU losing to Utah pretty much every year this century, Duckhunter, you
know "woulda, coulda, shoulda" better than most. As well as
"Tulsa.". Go luck against mighty ISU.
pebblesIt's so fun to live rent free in minds of Utedom.Duckhunter is correct; the only things we've heard and seen from
the hill all season long are whiny SOS excuses and chest beating about morale
UoU 1991It's nice to see that at least one Utah fan gets it.Utah is getting exactly what they signed up for when the Utes accepted
their invitation to the PAC 12. All power conference bottom dwellers play
difficult schedules, but you don't hear the Indiana's, Iowa St's,
Vanderbilt's, and Washington St's of the world constantly blaming
their mediocrity on their schedules.
Losing our 2 Tight Ends has killed our offense. Our tackles need them in their
chipping the DE's and TW needs those quick routes up the middle. I wish we
knew what was wrong with Tonga. Hopefully Murphy can come back Saturday, if not
for the last 2 games. Utah needs his leadership as well. Plus, he's a good
kid and deserves to play.
Jake Murphy is a stud on and off the field. I have a lot of respect for him and
his family so this is great news. I don't know how much difference it will
make against the angry ducks but it will be great to see him on the field again.
BigUtahFan, why would you or anyone else outside of the football program need to
know what Westlee Tonga's injury is? How will you knowing that help him
come back any faster, if at all?
@stgBy agreeing to play major college football and be a public
figure that people PAY to see play college ahtletes agree to forgo their privacy
on things that pertain to what other people are paying for. I agree
with you that personal helath issues are private but that just isn't the
case when someone is a public figure and it pertains to what they are being paid
to do by others. Yes college athletes are paid and yes they are paid by those of
us that purchase tickets and donate to athletic departments.
"I agree with you that personal helath issues are private but that just
isn't the case when someone is a public figure . . ."Look
at Ducky--his opinion obviously trumps HIPAA and school policy! So I guess
he'll be finding a lawyer to force information out of those closed-mouth
coaches. Good luck with that.
Glad to hear Murph Dogg will be back! The offense should feed off his energy.
Speaking of not talking about injuries, do you guys remember a few years ago
when Jordan Wynn said because of Hippa laws, he wasn't allowed to talk
about his own injuries. What a smart one!
