What an embarassment. The Cougars might as well be playing a local high school
team. Independence rots.
Idaho state is looking for their first division 1 win this year. There is a
chance. After all, Virginia's only division 1 win came against byu.
However, I am going with byu in this one. I think the crowd will be pumped and
on senior day the seniors will deliver the big win over rival Idaho state.
Independence is great. Wouldn't change a thing.
Let's just hope for no injuries in what is nothing more than a practice for
Y ask YSep 7th, 2013While Travis Wilson and Utah were
padding their stats in a 70-7 beat down of Weber State,Taysom Hill
and BYU were crushing then 15th-ranked Texas 40-21.Utah fans
completely ignored the glaring difference in competition as they gloated about
the disparity between Wilson's and Taysom's passing efficiency. As expected, two months later, BYU is playing Weber State's
conference mate, Idaho State, while Utah takes on #6 Oregon, and suddenly the
kids on the hill are snickering because it's BYU's turn to play an FCS
team, while Utah faces a real opponent. We'll see how each team
does now that the roles are reversed.
Y Ask YSo the mighty weak Utes playing a Big Sky team is no big
deal, but the Mighty Cougars playing a Big Sky team is
"embarrassing"?Weber State is 1-9, with 9 straight losses,
including back-to-back 70-7 and 70-6 losses to Utah and Utah St.Idaho State is 3-7.Try to temper your BYU hatred with just a
smidgen of consistency.
A nice tune-up game for BYU to get ready for Notre Dame, similar to the tune-up
game Utah had to get ready for OSU and BYU.
Seriously--Ute fans who have to be the first to comment on everything BYU--get a
Come on, Utes, smile!……4-5 on the year….two good wins….a
bunch of gut wrenching losses…another losing season shaping up….need
we say more?
We have one of the best offenses and toughest schedules in the country.
@Ken LeeTechnically it's only one good win for the Utes, which
is Stanford. Beating an opponent who doesn't belong to the most Elite and
Blessed BCS doesn't really count as good win. The Utes record is 4-5
because they have the toughest schedule in the country. It's better to
lose every game in the PAC-12 than to be independent. But hey...Onward and Upward
Technically. Utah is 3-5 versus FBS teams, 1-5 versus BCS teams.Better dust off another shelf in the Utah closet of fame; the #1 SOS trophy is
nearly in the bag.
This game should see Ammon Olsen in early in the second half. But then again
Bronco may choose to keep Hill in until he gets hurt.Nice rub Chris
B. It is amusing how playing an FCS team is now an ignominious affair (according
to the BYU haters) but playing Weber State early in the year is not.No need to give my prediction as to whether or not the utes have a chance to
beat an angry Oregon team. Playing the only team to beat the team that beat them
(fluke) will be motivation enough. The difficult thing to predict
will be is whether or not the utes will even score in that game.I
say they will get 10 points.
Wow, such nice complimentary comments from our dear friend and Y supporter Chris
B. Hey, good luck as the u plays the big O. I'm thinkin low scoring affair?
