No question their big men outplayed ours but I'm confident that as the
season moves on Mika and Worthington will improve. Can't wait to see us
against the Utes. They seem to be vastly improved from last year.Go
Cougars! Go Utes and Aggies too until we meet on the court!
Arguably a bit condescending, needs a bit more review on facts concerning the
background of the Wildcats. But I assume this writer hasn't the time or
interest to be a full time, well researched sports columnist. BYU no doubt has
an in-state advantage in recruiting, but you mistakenly say that Weber State
typically doesn't get talented players who have recruiting offers from
bigger programs, not so on out-of-state recruits, especially these past few
years. Would also say with confidence that had the Wildcats got a better start
in the BYU game, they very well could/should have won. GO WILDCATS!
WSUAlumnus - for sure Weber State has some talented players and recruiting
services are wrong about players a bunch (Jimmer Fredette, Cody Hoffman, Alex
Smith, Eric Weddle, Chuckie Keeton, Damion Lillard, just to name a few local
examples). But I would be interested to know which current Weber State players
had offers from which major programs...
It was stated that Joel Bolomboy had offers from New Mexico &
Clemson...Senglin (our promising new freshman guard) had offers from Houston,
Texas A&M and LSU. You mention Damion Lillard, a great find by Coach Rahe,
his outstanding visibility in the NBA will provide valuable PR for recruiting in
a mid-major program like Weber State!
