What is so extraordinary about poverty? Is there a law that says poverty is not allowed? There are laws prohibiting prosperity but I didn't think poverty was anything to be concerted about.

Government standards of poverty just means that government doesn't have enough money to sustain socialism and a state of prosperity and wealth, a normal condition of socialism.

The nation la use of poverty as a state of poor is a sign that there is too much government preventing people from being prosperous. Poverty is relevant to the state of the economy and poverty is power. Every thing a politician could hope for, make promises they can's keep or intend to keep and use it as a weapon of power.

Poverty only means people are an underpaid commodity for the financial industry so they have to increase bailout spending to subsidize financial industries. Poverty doesn't mean anyone is hungry or starving, its the financial state of workers and consumers to justify bailout spending by government.

I have always failed to understand why we borrow money to give it away in the Middle East to Israel and Egypt when the need is so great here in the United States amongst our own citizens.

I can only think our Congressional leaders are more concerned with foreigners in the Middle East than needy Americans.

Why don't U.S. Citizens come first?
