    I don't know what actions Prof. Calhoun participated in, but he clearly has a first amendment right to advocate for pro-life causes, and on the face of it should not have received a letter of reprimand. Of course, if he were threatening to bomb abortion clinics or similar activities, he should have received far more than a reprimand. I suspect from the article that he was not engaged in violence or threats of violence, however, and his freedom of speech must be protected.
