Wisconsin should be a stiff test for more than BYU's offensive line, their
O-Line averages 6'6" and 321 lbs. It will be interesting to see how
much pressure BYU's defense will be able to put on the QB and if BYU will
be able to plug the holes the O-Line opens. The only place BYU has a
size advantage over Wisconsin's is the 5'9" and 5'11"
cornerbacks, but they are fast.BYU is definitely the underdog in
this game and I hope that helps, go Cougars!
If BYU can tire out those big guys on the D line and keep the Badger offense off
the field, then I like BYU's chances.
After playing the mighty utes,--this is a cupcake.
This is the best team BYU will face this season. I believe the Badgers are a
notch above the Irish, Longhorns and Houston Cougars (all of whom I would rate
equally), with the Utes, Broncos and Aggies being solid but still another notch
below. In September, I was ready to concede the win in this game,
but seeing how my Cougs have improved during October, I'm excited for the
battle in Wisconsin. I think the Cougs have a good shot at the upset. Here's my armchair QB plan to win.1. Win the turnover
battle.2. Reduce the number of runs up the middle where Wisconsin is
tough. Williams and Hill could have big games running on the outside.3.
Pick apart the smaller cornerbacks with Hoffman, Apo and Mathews size. An early
BYU lead will wreak havoc on the Badger game plan.4. Don't take
chances with punt returns. With Falslev out, this is not the game to train
someone new. Just take the fair catch and bring out Hill to work his magic. Can't wait to watch the game along with millions of others on ESPN.
I think this is the scariest aspect of this weekend's game. BYU's
O-line has certainly improved since Virginia, but still shows stretches of being
dominated against far lesser defenses than Wisconsin. I think we'll get a
very good glimpse of how Hill has improved in high pressure situations.
This game scares me. The offense will do well but it may not be enough to win
the game. BYUs defense must win this one for them. GO Cougs.
